After the successful attendance of Ward Personnel at Glenvera & Travelodge during April, Peter Abernethy from Ward will visit Ashbourne House during the Coffee Morning on Wednesday 11th May from 11am to talk to residents about the potential for employment with Ward Personnel. Peter will be very happy to talk to all residents, both Female & Male, on a one to one basis about employment opportunities. It does not matter if people have a job already or if they are still waiting for permission to work;- Peter will be happy to open communications for future opportunities. The 2nd of two Ward Personnel meetings in Centres will take place in Glenvera on next Wednesday 20th April @5:30PM This is a unique opportunity to meet representatives of employers Ward Personnel and discuss employment opportunities with them. They have been employing asylum seekers successfully for some time now as a result of a chance event outside Glenvera in 2020. Everyone is invited along;- including those who may already have a job and especially ladies that are interested. In Travelodge on 13th April last, more than 30 residents attended and spoke individually to representatives of Ward who took their details & have already followed up with further discussion. Residents from other centres are welcome to attend in Glenvera on Wednesday 20th April. On completion of the two events, BRIJ will work with Paul of Ward Personnel and Susan Long of Cork City Partnership to identify training needs for employment and seek to run suitable courses.
