Two weeks ago the Irish government introduced a new scheme awarding financial grants for courses to people living in direct provision AND who match the specific criteria.
Some of the criteria include
1. You must be living here for three years or more
2. You must not have a deportation order
3. You must be accepted on a course, whether it is a third level (undergraduate) course, a third level (undergraduate) course through the CAO or a PLC course. You may also have started a course and can apply.
4. You do NOT have to have done the leaving certificate in Ireland
You must be accepted on a course first. Here is a list of some of the PLC courses. You can search by county https://www.plccourses.ie/
Some PLC courses require a PPS number however if you don't have a PPS number some applications for courses can be applied for manually (meaning written applications) or you can apply for a PPS.
