International Protection Office in Dublin is Resuming Services

IMPORTANT NOTICE: 
STAGED RESUMPTION OF SERVICES IN LINE WITH ROADMAP FOR EASING OF COVID-19 RESTRICTIONS - FROM 28th July 20

The International Protection Office (IPO) is resuming services for participants in the protection process in line with Ireland’s roadmap for the easing of Covid-19 restrictions.   It has adapted its procedures and premises in line with the HSE and NPHET guidelines in order to safely resume services.
  • Opening Hours: The opening hours for Reception at the International Protection Office, Timberlay House, 79-83 Lower Mount Street, Dublin 2 are 11am to 2pm Monday to Friday.
  • Protection Interviews:  Protection interviews recommenced on 20 July 2020, starting with those whose interviews had to be postponed due to the Covid-19 public health emergency.  All applicants scheduled for interview will be written to individually with their new interview dates.  Please note the revised procedures set out in the interview letter to ensure the safety of applicants and of staff in the IPO.  Nobody should attend for interview who is feeling unwell or has current medical advice to self-isolate or cocoon.
  • IPO2 Questionnaires:  Applicants with outstanding IPO 2 questionnaires are asked to complete and return the questionnaire as soon as possible please.  In light of the current circumstances, the IPO will accept electronically completed questionnaires from applicants once they are signed and submitted in hard copy.
  • Temporary Residence Certificates:  Applicants with TRCs due for renewal between 27 March and 20 August 2020 should contact IPO Customer Services at info@ipo.gov.ie to confirm your current address.
 
The International Protection Office continues to deal with correspondence received but, due to ongoing public health measures, may not be in a position to respond within normal timeframes.
